This record was really fun to make, we brought in heavy weight musicians Shawn Pelton on drums and Bashiri Johnson on percussion to back up the talented Lisa Jaeggi in the studio. Lisa’s blend of folk, hip hop, soul and pop showcases her talent as a lyricist and poet. Her themes range from melancholic narratives splashed with religious and political observations to carefully constructed thoughts about city life.
