Recent Press:
“Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds [is] fronted by the big-voiced Arleigh Kincheloe…” New York Times

“Every instrument from the guitar to the harmonica to the baritone saxophone lends to the band’s rich sound, the most explosive force coming from Arleigh Kincheloe a.k.a. Sister Sparrow’s vocals: a little raspy, a little jazzy, mixed with a little bit of Aretha Franklin and definitely strong enough to lead the rest of the band through songs like “Boom Boom” and “Freight Train.” The Deli

“Referring to Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds as a funk band just doesn’t get the job done. Don’t get me wrong – there’s all the nasty-ass, hip-grinding, sweat-soaked-but-cool-as-hell funk on their self-titled debut album that you could ever want, but there’s also so much more.” – Jambands.com
“Seeing [Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds] perform is an experience that will not be forgotten – this band will remind you why you love music.” – Examiner.com
